Family Promise of Spokane

From Amy Robinson, Case Manger at Open Doors

"A guest of ours, a single mom told me that her boys love being at the shelter. She said whenever they are away from the shelter they constantly ask her when they are going back home. Home being our shelter. She said, the other day while riding the bus my boys were asking, " mom when are we gonna go home, we can't wait to go home, its so fun there." A bus passenger overheard and asked her where she lives. She said, a homeless shelter but my kids love it there. The mom preceded to tell me how grateful she is to have found Open Doors and how patient, fun, and kind all the staff are to her boys.
